After trailing FCS opponent Liberty in the second half of its opener, the 21st-ranked Tar Heels only led for nine minutes against San Diego State Saturday. But UNC safety Tim Scott undercut San Diego State wide receiver Lloyd Mills in the end zone with 14 seconds left, sealing a 31-27 win for the Tar Heels at a sold-out Kenan Stadium.
