Through the looking glass

An estimated crowd of better than 8,000 people watched Butch Davis' UNC football team perform on Saturday in the annual spring game. The Tar Heels may well have found a quarterback. Redshirt freshman T.J. Yates of Georgia threw for three touchdowns, completed 10 of his 15 passes for 163 yards and one interception. Who knows what might happen in a real game this fall, but for this one afternoon at least, Yates played with poise beyond his years.
