Former UNC guard Leslie McDonald to play in Israel

Former UNC guard Leslie McDonald will start his professional career playing in the Israeli National League. The Memphis native who spent five injury-plagued years in Chapel Hill inked a deal with Hapoel Kfar Saba after a senior season at UNC in which he averaged 10.4 points, 2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. During his Tar Heel career McDonald scored 841 points in 125 games (6.7 per game). He made 147 career three-pointers while shooting 33.3% from beyond the arc.
