No. 1 UNC Field Hockey Shuts Out No. 5 Syracuse


The top-ranked UNC field hockey team earned its first conference win of the season with its first shutout, beating No. 5 Syracuse 3-0 Friday at Francis E. Henry Stadium. The Tar Heels improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in ACC play. The Orange fell to 6-1 (0-1 ACC). "I thought it was a great team effort for the Tar Heels," UNC coach said. (GoHeels.com)
