Athlon ranks UNC’s Williams just 5th among ACC coaches

Following the 2009 season, if a story had been written about the best basketball coaches in the ACC, it would have been odd not to have ranked No. 1. During a five-year stretch beginning in 2005, Williams, the WNC native who attended Roberson High and coached at Owen, guided North Carolina to three Final Fours and two national titles. He was hot and the college hoops world knew it. Not any longer. (Asheville Citizen-Times)
