Showtime for new look Heels
Posted Apr 13, 2007
Spring practice will come to its apex Saturday when the Tar Heels square off against one another in new head coach Butch Davis' first spring game. The first spring practice of the Davis era was March 19, and just a day later, Davis announced that he would undergo chemotherapy treatments to combat a small, cancerous growth in his gum. Davis has sported a shaved head since Monday's practice, but he's been able to maintain a normal practice schedule with the team during his treatments.
