Visit home helping Warriors’ Harrison Barnes clear his head

Harrison Barnes can still remember watching Iowa’s then-Mr. Basketball, Matt Gatens, play on TV nearly a decade ago and thinking what a thrill that would be. Those memories will come full circle Thursday, when Barnes and the Warriors play a preseason game at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, roughly 35 miles south of Ames High School, where Barnes won back-to-back state championships in 2009-10.
