Coaches removed from academics, investigation finds

When asked Wednesday how involved he was in his players’ academics, UNC coach Larry Fedora said he was only focused on his next opponent. “I couldn’t tell you what one guy’s major is.“ Fedora’s answer helps explain how there were 963 enrollments of football players and 340 of basketball players in the fraudulent paper classes offered by UNC’s Department of African and Afro-American Studies between 1999-2009.
