In a season full of disappointments on the field and in recruiting, North Carolina securing the commitment of 247Sports five-star defensive end Jalen Dalton is a glimmer of hope and small victory for a program bogged down with negative recruiting and on-the-field struggles. In the larger landscape, the Dalton commitment today provides the hope that UNC is able to lock down at least some of the best talent in the state.
