Assault charges against Charlotte Hornets player P.J. Hairston dropped

The Durham district attorney has dropped assault charges against Charlotte Hornets player P.J. Hairston. The charges stemmed from a fight during a pick-up basketball game at the YMCA in Durham. The D.A. says charges were dropped at the request of the alleged victim, Northern High senior Kentrell Barkley.
