Tar Heels Grind Out Season-Opening Victory


No. 6 North Carolina opened its 2014-15 campaign by pairing a glimpse of its promising potential with a reminder of the work yet to be done in its 76-60 victory over N.C. Central. At times, UNC resembled a Final Four-caliber team on Friday when it controlled the tempo through defense and transition. Other times, however, the Tar Heels resembled last season’s squad.
