Williams lifts Heels past Pitt in thriller
Posted Nov 15, 2014
Midway through the second quarter, a school record was the farthest thing from UNC quarterback Marquise Williams’ mind. The junior had just thrown two incompletions on a three-and-out, dropping to 4 for 16 passing on the day. The Carolina defense couldn’t stop Pitt running back James Conner, who became the second back in as many games to gain 100 yards rushing in a quarter against the Tar Heels. Pitt led 21-7. "I just needed to find my ‘dog’,” Williams said.
