UNC running back recruit Bryce Love's Wake Forest team defeated Pinecrest, 45-21, in the second round of the NCHSAA 4AA playoffs. Love rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries. Butler quarterback Anthony Ratliff-Williams rushed eight times for 61 yards and a touchdown. He also completed 5-of-9 passes for 35 yards in a first round playoff loss to Mallard Creek.
