Two seasons ago, Butler led by as many as 28 points in an 82-71 victory over the Tar Heels at the Maui Invitational, but Brad Stevens left Butler to coach the Boston Celtics, and the Bulldogs went 14-17 last season (with a 4-14 mark in their Big East debut) under coach Brandon Miller.
