A friend remembered

Allison Stewart was 7 years old the first time she met Jason Ray, but 10 years later, she remembers the way he came bouncing down the stairs of his home to greet her. Full of life and energy, Ray used that passion to portray the mascot for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Rameses. Ray died Monday from injuries he received after being hit by an SUV on Friday. (Kannapolis Independent Tribune)
