Gastonia high school's court to bear Sylvia Hatchell’s name

Ralph Rhyne and others involved managed to successfully keep the secret from his sister until the chosen time. It was at the Hunter Huss High School beach reunion in September when Sylvia Rhyne Hatchell learned Hunter Huss is naming its basketball court in her honor. “She didn’t know anything about this,” Rhyne said. “She said, ‘Y’all shouldn’t have done that.’”
