UNC women's commit Taylor Koenen becomes Shakopee's top scorer

Shakopee (MN) junior Taylor Koenen is the all-time top scorer for the Shakopee girls basketball program. Koenen passed Mel Sames on Saturday afternoon in the Sabers' 63-54 win against Chaska. She entered the game just 12 points behind Sames and finished the game with 26 points to become No. 1 on the list. Koenen has played the Shakopee girls basketball varsity team since she was in the eighth grade and has already committed to play for the University of North Carolina in college.
