The Tar Heels return from the holiday break to face UAB, led by former longtime Roy Williams assistant Jerod Haase. The Blazers upset UNC last season. Tip-off at the Smith Center is set for 4 p.m. Saturday and will be televised by ESPN2. UAB enters Saturday’s contest with a 4-8 record. The Blazers dropped their exhibition game to UNC Pembroke, 72-71, foreshadowing a potential rough 2014-15 season. (Inside Carolina)
