Larry Fedora told Jones Angell before the Quick Lane Bowl kicked off that the Tar Heels would have to play with great energy on both sides of the ball, would have to come out and play smart, fast and physical, and they’d be fine. They weren’t fine. Rutgers punched the Tar Heels in the mouth on the first drive, and then the Tar Heels couldn’t get out of their own way.
