UNC receiver Quinshad Davis suffers injury one catch shy of school record
Posted Dec 27, 2014
On Friday, Davis came to Ford Field tied with former Tar Heels wide receiver Hakeem Nicks for career touchdown catches at UNC with 21. Against Rutgers, the junior wide receiver had one more chance to break the record during the 2014 season. But the hope that Davis might have had heading into Friday undoubtedly turned into despair. He left the game late in the fourth quarter, carted off the field with a brace strapped to his right leg after sustaining an injury on a throw to the end zone intended for him.
