No matter how he dismissed it, the achy sight of Marcus Paige on Monday night couldn’t have been encouraging for UNC. There was the junior guard, the Tar Heels’ top scorer on the season and team leader, taking tender steps in his bare feet and walking gingerly down a hallway before slowly entering the locker room after Notre Dame’s 71-70 victory at the Smith Center.
