UNC beats Va. Tech, earns extra practice

Virginia Tech hasn’t beaten anybody in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season. Syracuse, Florida State and Louisville have knocked off the Hokies. The Tar Heels figured they’d get some, too, beating Virginia Tech 68-53 in the Dean E. Smith Center on Sunday. UNC was, well, meh, Roy Williams suggested. “Sometimes you’ve got to win ugly,” Williams said. (Durham Herald-Sun)
