USC was trying its hardest to dig out and polish up the good news after its 74-64 loss to UNC on Friday night. Coach Tim Floyd described how proud he was of a team that fought to the end. Lodrick Stewart described running with the Tar Heels for 40 exhausting minutes as "fun." But the lasting image of the Trojans' second-half collapse was Gabe Pruitt slumped on the Trojans bench, head buried in his jersey.
