Danny Green on track to set Spurs’ record for 3-pointers
Posted Jan 20, 2015
On track to set a franchise record for 3-pointers in one season, Spurs guard Danny Green was genuinely shocked to learn after Sunday’s win over the Jazz that he had gotten to 100 this season faster than any player in club history. It took Chuck Person — whose 192 3-pointers in the 1995-96 season has held up as the single-season record for 19 years — 47 games to make his 100th that season. Green’s 100th came in the Spurs’ 42nd game and was followed by two more.
