Pitcher Daniel Bard praises Rangers’ patience with him as he aims to make Cubs roster

Right-hander Daniel Bard, once a dominating reliever with Boston, will try again this spring to accomplish what he could not do with the Texas Rangers last year. Bard, 29, will attend spring training with the Chicago Cubs on a minor-league contract, in hopes of reviving his career.
