Defense the signature for new Tar Heels

Defense will define North Carolina’s 19 rookies. Of course, not all of those guys will be on the defensive side of the football. In fact, 11 of the young men who signed up to join UNC’s football team for the 2015 season were recruited to play offense. But it took defense to get them to commit. “The negative recruiting this year was at an all-time high,” UNC coach Larry Fedora said Wednesday.
