Dean Smith Remembered

Former UNC basketball coach Dean Smith, who led the Tar Heels to two national titles, set the record for career victories and launched the careers of countless players and coaches, died Feb. 8, 2015. He was 83 years old. Smith coached the Tar Heels for 36 years, posting at least 20 victories in 27 straight seasons, and retired in 1997 with 879 career wins.
