Dean Smith's legacy proven by amazing tree of coaches, players, rivals

Dean Smith's death brings to mind the unprecedented impact he had on the sport of basketball and the greater cultural issues surrounding it. Perhaps no coach has ever been tied to more influential basketball figures than Smith, who's coaching tree stems to the very roots of the sport: Smith played for Phog Allen, who played for James Naismith -- otherwise known as the man who invented the sport.
