Georgetown legend John Thompson on Dean Smith: 'I loved him'

Upon news Dean Smith's passing Saturday, notables from around the world of basketball and elsewhere shared their feelings of the man who led the Tar Heels to two national championships, led the U.S. men's basketball team to a gold medal and 1976 and led the fight for various social and political causes. The bond ran deep between former Georgetown coach John Thompson Jr. and Smith.
