I think from the outside everybody knows what a good coach Dean Smith is, but I was even more impressed with the person, from the very first day. He was a good, good man to have on your side. And he treated everybody the same, from Phil Ford – who was the best player on our team – to the guy who made the team as a walk-on. (Charlotte Observer)
