Terrence Newby, who played on Dean Smith's final team at UNC, said Monday that everything mentioned in the past few days about perhaps the greatest coach in any sport is true. Not only did Smith possess one of the greatest basketball minds of any coach to walk the sidelines, but he was as humble as he was successful and he was the true patriarch of the “Carolina family.”
