Bond between Dean Smith, Woody Durham went beyond basketball

Woody Durham has called more than 1,800 basketball and football games at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including all but 10 years of Dean Smith’s coaching career. The two men have had countless conversations on and off the air about basketball, their children and society. Smith also talked with Durham about things that bothered him, including the building that bears his name. (WRAL Sports Fan)
