Hubert’s ACL tear further thins UNC’s bench

The knee injury that kept North Carolina senior forward Desmond Hubert from being available against Boston College this past Saturday has turned out to be a torn anterior cruciate ligament. On Sunday, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed the severity of Hubert’s injury, which has brought his UNC playing career to an end, team spokesman Steve Kirschner said Thursday.
