Posted Feb 12, 2015
High Point University men’s basketball coach Scott Cherry thought his coach and mentor, Dean Smith, was looking down on him Wednesday night. Having rallied from 16 down early in the second half and 10 down in the last 3:20, the Panthers overcame a tough situation in the last 10 seconds and pulled out an improbable 73-72 victory over Winthrop at the Millis Center.
