Kennedy Meeks had been sick, but that was not the case in Chestnut Hill. That’s not why Meeks didn’t start, Roy Williams said. Neither Meeks nor Brice Johnson had graded out well defensively coming into the game. Last Saturday was the first time in 19 games that Meeks, a sophomore, hadn’t started. Sophomores Britt and forward Isaiah Hicks started against Boston College.
