Football coach Butch Davis has lymphoma
Posted Mar 21, 2007
Butch Davis, North Carolina's first-year football coach, is undergoing chemotherapy for a small cancerous growth found in his mouth during a routine dental examination. A biopsy revealed that the growth was non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Davis said he was encouraged by recent tests that indicate the cancer hasn't spread and is confident that, after chemotherapy, that his North Carolina coaching career will not be affected.
