Houston Summers Elected Student Body President

UNC track and field student-athlete Houston Summers was elected student body president Wednesday night. Summers earned 64.8% of the vote. Before attending UNC, Summers was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2005 and played minor league baseball for six years, mostly in the St. Louis Cardinals’ organization. He was called up to the majors in 2010 for the Cardinals.
