Remembering Dean Smith

Roy Williams has reprised the role of a history professor since Dean Smith, his mentor, died Feb. 7. Williams’ players aren’t old enough to fully appreciate the man for whom the arena in which they play is named. “I always kind of had an idea of how great of a legend he was,” UNC forward Kennedy Meeks said Saturday after the Tar Heels beat Georgia Tech.
