Roy Williams defends right to assess UNC crowd energy

North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams made news Saturday when he criticized the intensity of the Smith Center crowd after an 89-60 blowout of Georgia Tech. Upset that there wasn’t more noise, he urged fans to do better. “If you want to act like I’m chastising the fans, tell them to come in and invest,” Williams said Saturday. On Monday, Williams addressed those comments again. (Greensboro News & Record)
