There’s no turning to Paige this time for Tar Heels

Marcus Paige never transformed into his alter ego of Wolfpack killer on Tuesday. His pedestrian performance became a factor in UNC’s toothless 58-46 loss to NC State at the Smith Center. Paige, the junior who often has starred in defeats of N.C. State, struggled to seven points as the 15th-ranked Tar Heels stumbled to the lowest point total in the 29-year history of their home building.
