Third Quarter Surge Lifts Heel Lacrosse Past #1 Denver

Fourth-ranked North Carolina scored five goals in a span of 2:52 early in the third quarter to take the lead for good in defeating top-ranked Denver 12-10 at Navy Field Friday night. The win improved Carolina to 5-0 on the season while the Pioneers fell to 3-1. Chad Tutton had a hat trick for the Tar Heels while Peyton Klawinski and Luke Goldstock each scored a pair of goals.
