On the creation of the Charlie "Choo-Choo" Justice statue


Shortly after ’s death on October 17, 2003, teammate Joe Neikirk approached with an idea for a statue. Morton, who had worked with his friend Sculptor Johnpaul Harris on other projects like the Mildred and cubs statue and the deer habitat at Grandfather Mountain, immediately called his friend to see if he would be interested in a football statue.
