There’s still a good bit of basketball left to play, yet Kennedy Meeks already is far beyond the 27 shots he rejected last season. The weight loss has helped — Meeks wasn’t getting to those shots last season, UNC coach Roy Williams said. “But his explosiveness has got to be with the ball around the basket,” Williams said. “The lift has been there because he doesn’t have the weight.” (Durham Herald-Sun)
