Tar Heels survive scare

It was neither easy nor pretty, but North Carolina found a way — a breakaway dunk by Justin Jackson with 23.8 seconds remaining — to beat Harvard, 67-65, Thursday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Crimson was playing in its fourth consecutive tournament. Wesley Saunders’ missed jumper from the top of the key at the buzzer allowed the Tar Heels to escape.
