Former UNC lineman Ryan Hoffman back in Chapel Hill for medical tests

A former University of North Carolina football player who became homeless was back in Chapel Hill Thursday getting help. Ryan Hoffman, who was an offensive lineman at UNC in the 1990s, was the subject of a recent story in The New York Times. He said in the story that he suspects cognitive issues related to his years playing football was partially to blame for him not being able to hold down a job and winding up on the streets of Lakeland, Fla.
