In a game where Arkansas' pressure defense was supposed to give UNC problems, it was Razorback miscues that gave the Tar Heels an edge and a 87-78 win to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. The expectation going into this game was the pace would be fast. Right off the bat, the game did not disappoint. The pace was frenetic and at times it may have been too quick.
