Donnie Tyndall fired at Tennessee for NCAA violations during time at Southern Miss

Donnie Tyndall has been fired after one season as head basketball coach at Tennessee, the school confirmed Friday amid multiple reports. Tyndall had been under scrutiny due to NCAA allegations stemming from his tenure at Southern Miss, where he went 56-17 in two seasons before taking over with the Volunteers last April. The Golden Eagles self-imposed a one-year postseason ban and had multiple players declared ineligible after allegedly receiving improper benefits.
