Kuester, Shaver touched by gesture from Dean Smith


and his wife, Tricia, stopped at their mailbox Thursday afternoon in Cary, N.C. That’s when they saw what Kuester called "something very special to remember (legendary UNC coach ) by." Smith died Feb. 7 at age 83. In his will he directed that his trust give $200 to every letterman who played for him during his 36 seasons with the Tar Heels. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
