ECU's Jeff Lebo takes Dean Smith up on posthumous dinner offer

When people reel off names of players coached by Dean Smith, Jeff Lebo probably isn’t high on the list. Smith had a major impact on Lebo, however. Lebo played under Smith at North Carolina from 1985-89 and is now the men's head coach at East Carolina. When Lebo received his $200 check from Smith’s trust after Smith's death last month, he did exactly what he was supposed to do — he went out for dinner. (Sporting News)
