Heels try to get in the zone


UNC's offense produced 14 plays of 35 or more yards during the 2007 football season. But it converted just 29 percent of its third-down attempts and scored touchdowns less than half the time it reached the red zone. Which is why -- to use a golf analogy, as offensive coordinator did recently -- the Heels are trying to add a few more irons, wedges, and even a good putter to their attack this season.
